Abstract

A series of tests was set up with the aim of verifying the possibility of a D-D reaction in crystal lattices. Two experiments using an electrochemical cell were performed. In both cases, neutrons were counted but no statistically significant neutron emission was detected. Two other electrochemical experiments were conducted in order to verify if tritium is produced during the deuterisation of titanium shavings. The results varied. Tests using a low energy deuterium ion implantation on a titanium cathode were also performed.
