THE 1988 COMPARISON OF RADIONUCLIDE CALIBRATOR MEASUREMENTS AMONG BELGIAN HOSPITALS PART II - STANDARDIZATION OF A 57CO SOLUTION
In 1988 the Belgian Association of Hospital Physicists carried out a comparison of radionuclide calibrator measurements in collaboration with the Central Bureau of Nuclear Measurements of the Commission of the European Communities. Ampoules containing a standard solution of 57Co were distributed. A short and very general historical overview about standardisation is presented. The basic ideas of the standardisation of radionuclide samples are explained. Some of the principles applied in the standardisation of the 57Co solution are described.
