STUDY OF CLIMATIC CONDITIONS IN COOLED AND UNCOOLED MINE WORKINGS AT GREAT DEPTH
The objectives of the project were the improvement of underground mine working conditions, the prediction of the climate in future worksites, the assessment of the desirable air conditioning requirements and the optimisation of the performances of the existing air conditioning installations. In order to achieve these objectives, computer programs of Bergbau-Forschung GmbH (Essen - F.R. Germany) were used for the assessment and the prediction of the climate. Finally, climate predictions were calculated to schedule the cooling powers required to fulfil the climate standards in force.
