PRODOTTI VERNICIATI UTILIZZATI NELL'INDUSTRIA AUTOMOBILISTICA: MIGLIORAMENTO DEL RUOLO ANTICORROSIVO SVOLTO NEL LEGAME METALLO-VERNICE DALLA CRESCITA EPITASSIALE DEL RIVESTIMENTO FOSFATICO
The object of the research is to improve knowledge of the influence exerted on the metal-paint bond by the metallurgical characteristics (morphological and structural) of the steel substrate. More precisely, the study covers the effect of variation in cold-rolling parameters on the trend of surface texture distribution of hot-rolled, pickled strip. It also considers the influence of the deformation generated by forming on the surface texture and morphology of cold-rolled strip, batch annealed using the typical works cycle adopted for deep-drawing steel. This is related to the morphological, structural and compositional characteristics of the phosphate layer obtained and the consequent variation of the strength of the metal-paint bond, evaluated as a percentage of area stripped after cathodic wet adhesion (CWA) tests and as the corrosion resistance of the painted sheet in accelerated laboratory corrosion tests.
