Diffusion piping technique for the localisation of measuring stations
As part of a wide programme of comparisons between sampling methods, a simple passive sampler has been developed and approved. It collects nitrogen dioxide (NO(2)) by means of molecular diffusion. The sampler is economical, easy to prepare, to use and analyse. The simplicity and the low cost of the device allow its use in areas in which a high density of sampling points is required. This document describes some applications of the technique compared with traditional techniques at measurement stations in Europe.
