  • Reliability data bases : Proceedings of the ISPRA course held at the Joint Research Centre, Ispra, Italy, 21-25 October 1985 in collaboration with EuReDatA

This work presents an up to date summary of the state of the art of the use of reliability and incident databanks in safety, availability, and risk studies. The whole spectrum of the methodology of data collection and analysis, and of its application, including reliability parameter definition, the theory of probabilistic distributions, and Bayesian statistical processing is discussed. A major part of the book is devoted to real time and retrospective data collection procedures for both component and incident events in such areas as nuclear, process, electronic, and material properties. Information retrieval related to human factors and dependent failures is also discussed, as are information structures and expert systems for reliability databanks.
