Ultrasonic detection of fatigue crack propagation and lifetime prediction for 1/5-scale PWR vessels
Different ultrasonic inspection methodologies were used to detect and estimate fatigue propagation of fabrication defects in a 1/5-scale PWR vessel. The results are analysed and the influence of non-destructive inspection results on the assessment of reliability and residual lifetime of the structure is discussed.
