Laser interferograms in difficult access areas of a structure or a component cannot be obtained with a traditional holographic arrangement. This paper describes how optical fibres increase the applicability range of holographic interferometry. A new endoscopic probe is developed and tested. The results are discussed with regard to interferogram quality and sensibility to external factors.
