  • The certification of the contents (mass fractions) of impurities (Al, Cd, Cu, Fe, In, Pb, Sn and Tl) in seven grades of unalloyed zinc (BCR CRMs 321-327) intended for use in emission spectrometry

The purity of zinc is commonly verified by means of emission spectrometry, a technique which requires series of standards to construct the calibration curves. The present report describes the preparation and certification of unalloyed zinc reference materials. Similar work for zinc alloys ZnAl(4) and ZnAl(4)Cu(l) is described in a separate report (EUR 12818 EN).
