The JRC collaborative programme on second generation earth observation satellites in land use planning in European marginal areas
The Collaborative Programme of the Institute for Remote Sensing Applications of the Joint Research Centre is now moving from the first to the second phase. The first phase was exclusively concerned with the use of second generation Earth observation satellite (SGEOS) data in management of European less favoured areas. The second phase will continue some of this work and will be very highly geared towards marginal areas. It will also include cooperative actions more broadly directed towards environmental problems and agricultural and forestry resources within Europe.
