Current generation by hybrid waves : Simulation of tokamak discharge - Part I
The aim of this work is to examine whether the results of current generation by hybrid waves can be interpreted on the basis of the hypothesis of accessibility. Part I summarises the results of the variation of the voltage as a function of the power of the wave obtained on PLT, PETULA and ASDEX. It is shown that a combination of these parameters forms a linear relationship. The agreement between this relationship and the results of N.Fisch are examined. The modelling of the wave spectrum, the symmetry and the accessibility are discussed on the basis of characteristics of the wave spectrum calculated using the code SWAN. The results of this modelling are analysed and compared with experimental results. The results of tokamak JT60 are examined in relation to the model that was used.
