Abstract

CBNM and the Euratom Working Group on Reactor Dosimetry have initiated a programme to prepare a comprehensive series of neutron dosimetry reference materials, systematically certified for the trace elements likely to cause problems for the user. The status of this programme is reviewed. Twelve reference materials and candidate reference materials are currently available. New additions are rhodium metal foil with low mass fractions of iridium and platinum, and aluminium gold alloy intended as comparator alloy for k(o) - standardisation of neutron activation analysis.
