Production of inner-shell vacancies by orbital electron capture by the nucleus and by internal conversion of gamma rays
The principles by which inner-shell vacancies are produced after nuclear decay by orbital electron capture by the nucleus and by internal conversion of gamma rays, are summarised. Equations and suitable tables for the calculation are given. Predicted and experimental results are compared.
