Research needs into major accident hazardsFunded under: JRC-INDHAZ 2C
The paper describes the main criteria developed by the EEC for elaborating R&D actions into major accident hazards and reviews the activities being carried out through the CSA action programmes and at the Joint Research Centre. It is also shown how the implementation policy of the EEC Major Accident Hazards Directive calls for support activities which also give insights useful for priority setting for R&D. Finally, identified research needs for the next future programmes are discussed.
