Identification of systems with distributed parameters
The problem of finding a model for the dynamical response of a system with distributed parameters based on measured data is addressed. A mathematical formalism is developed, in order to obtain the specific properties of such a system. A linear iterative identification algorithm is proposed that includes these properties, and that produces better results than usual non linear minimisation techniques. This algorithm is further improved by an original data decimation that allows artificial increase of the sampling period without losing between-sample information. These algorithms are tested with real laboratory data.
