Abstract

The SOS Plabord code calculates local stationary states at the plasma boundary, taking into account impurities and neutral atoms detached from the wall. The plasma boundary is defined by the layer between two abscissas defined in the code as RMA (wall) and RO (limit of contained plasma) with RO less than RMA. In all, 4 types of particles are involved, with a maximum of 3 types of ions, consisting of one type of light ion (obligatory), two types of impurity ions (optional) and electrons (obligatory on account of the electrical neutrality).
