At the XVI Symposium on Fusion Technology held in London in September 1990, sixteen papers were presented by the DRFC, the texts of which are included in this volume. An invited paper discussed recent developments in superconducting conductors. Other papers reported on particular aspects of Tore Supra, such as the cryogenic system, magnets and coils, Langmuir probes, computer control system, power supplies and the lower hybrid system. Three papers were concerned with the poloidal field system for NET and water cooling for its first wall. The last paper discussed an LH current drive for ITER.
