Abstract

In 1989 two different airborne imaging spectrometers recorded high spectral resolution data from the Sacca di Goro, an open lagoon in the southern part of the Po river delta. At the same time, the pilot boat "Hydra" took measurements at sea to study pollution in the coastal waters south of the Po delta. These included conductivity, temperature and depth profiles, water sampling for the determination of chlorophyll, total suspended matter, yellow substance and nutrients, as well as measurement of the spectral reflection of the sea surface. The preliminary results obtained are presented and analysed.
