Abstract

The anisotropy of electrical resistivity of the Oxford clay at Down Ampney was examined by a series of measurements of resistivity on the core with current flowing horizontally and vertically. As expected, the horizontal resistivity core data were found to agree with the downhole resistivity logs. This observation enabled the implementation of a methodology to assess both horizontal and vertical resistivities in the field.
