The final report of the 1985-89 radiation protection programme, in three volumes, outlines the research carried out during this period under all contracts between the CEC and research groups in its Member States. Results of more than 440 projects are reported. Volume 2 presents results of projects on non-stochastic effects of ionising radiation and radiation carcinogenesis. Within the framework of this programme, the aim of the research was to improve working conditions, protect man and his environment against the harmful effects of radiation and ensure the safe production of energy.
