  • Trials of the thermal behaviour of a first wall prototype for the experimental nuclear fusion reactor NET/ITER : Analysis of deformation using the geometric Moiré method


The paper deals with an exercise in numerical modelling and experimental validation. The aim is to check the thermal fatigue behaviour of models of one of the first walls of the fusion reactor NET/ITER, particularly when exposed to the thermonuclear plasma interaction. The results of strain measurements during the thermal cycle, obtained by the geometric Moiré method, are described and compared with the numerical model estimates.
