Patinnova '90 was the first European congress to deal with patent and innovation matters. It focussed on how to promote innovation and accelerate the spread of new technologies by means of the patent system. Its objective was to improve general awareness of the economic and marketing importance of the patent system. The 30 contributions, written by leading experts in the field of patents and innovation, address the following issues: protection and filing policies, the role of patent lawyers and other patent consultants in filing and protection strategies, patent-assisted marketing of inventions from research institutions and patent disputes and litigations.
