  • Computation of the change of the first wall-toroidal limiter power flux deposition profile due to axisymmetric plasma displacement, for triangular simplified equilibria in a tokamak : Application to the IGNITOR case


The structures surrounding a magnetically confined plasma withstand a flux of energetic particles originating from a power deposition profile. Knowledge of this profile is of fundamental importance when designing these structures. In this work, deposition profiles are calculated in a parametric form for a D-shaped configuration (IGNITOR case). The variation of the maxima of thermal loads is reported as a function of displacement of plasma equilibrium configuration with respect to the plasma chamber configuration.
