Abstract

Pellets of ten different mixtures of actinide oxides including thorium, neptunium, uranium, plutonium of different isotopic compositions and americium were irradiated in the Material Testing Element 2 (MTE 2) in the reflector of the KNKII/2 reactor, Karlsruhe, from August 1983 to October 1985. The nuclide compositions of the pellets after irradiation were measured and calculated. Results of the calculations with different cross-sections and different approximations for the neutron flux density spectra are presented and compared with the measurement values.
