Coding and analysis of multiparametric data on a transputer array
An array of hardware modules, each with a 16-bits transputer, detects the coincident pulses from a nuclear measurement and codes them to a stream of multiparametric events. The events are passed over serial links via an archive module to a second array of 32-bits transputers for real-time or off-line analysis. The network lay-out is modular and allows a linear extension as requested by the event throughput, the number of parameters, and the complexity of the analysis.
