Abstract

The cross-section of 241Pu(n,f) was measured in the energy region of 2 MeV up to 20 eV. The experiments were performed under optimised experimental conditions for low-energy measurements, and new sigma(f)(E)-data were obtained. These results point to erroneous thermal normalisation in a few older measurements. For the Westcott g(f) factor, a new and more accurate value was obtained, which is slightly lower than that generally adopted.
