A 60 GHz cross polarisation scattering experiment to investigate magnetic fluctuations in the Tore Supra tokamak
At present, no diagnostic is available to measure magnetic fluctuations in a hot plasma. Such a diagnostic, based on microwave cross polarisation scattering, is being designed to measure magnetic fluctuations in the tokamak Tore Supra. The principle of the diagnostic and its implementation on Tore Supra are described.
