Speciation studies using flotation : Application in the Cr(III)/(VI) system
Precipitate flotation was applied successfully for the selective separation of Cr(III) from Cr(VI) ions (dilute aqueous solutions, 5 mg/l each), i.e. for speciation studies. Results for the ionic strength influence of this separation process are presented and discussed. These studies were conducted by adding different salt concentrations (NaCl, Na(2)SO(4), Na(3)PO(4), CaCl(2), FeCl(2)).
