Magnetic excitations in monodomain ferromagnetic USb(0.8)Te(0.2)
Inelastic scattering measurements have been taken on a monodomain single crystal of USb(0.8)Te(0.2). A magnetic excitation was found at the zone centre with a large anisotropy gap of 7.5 THz. At small wave vectors the excitation was found to be approximately isotropic, with a spin wave stiffness constant of 17 THz Angstrom2. Strong critical scattering was observed near the Néel temperature of 204 K.
