ADREA-HF : A three-dimensional finite volume code for vapour cloud dispersion in complex terrainFunded under: JRC-INDHAZ 2C
The computer program ADREA-HF is a special version of the ADREA code under development in NCSR Demokritos (Greece). The latter is specifically designed for buoyant flows in complex domains and has been applied to atmospheric transport and thermal hydraulics of closed systems. The present version of the ADREA-HF code represents the first iteration in vapour cloud dispersion prediction under complex environmental conditions. It is based on the finite volume concept in a Cartesian coordinate system. Treatment of complex domains is achieved by allowing a boundary surface of arbitrary irregularity to cross a calculation cell. In this report the theoretical basis of the code is discussed in detail. A description of the code is also given, together with the necessary information for the use of the code.
