Imaging spectroscopy : Fundamentals and prospective applicationsFunded under: JRC-REMSENS 4C
This book contains the papers presented during a course held at the JRC-Ispra in October 1989. The purpose of the course was to familiarise scientists active in the field of remote sensing with the new technique of imaging spectroscopy and its potential for applications in various disciplines. Emphasis was placed on calibration, and on radiometric and atmospheric correction of imaging spectrometer data. The following subjects were covered: - principles of imaging spectroscopy; - existing ground-based and airborne instrumentation and future developments; - application to different fields, based on projects carried out in Europe, the USA and Australia, and - possibilities and needs for processing and evaluating imaging spectrometer data.
