Resistive transitions and dc transport critical currents have been measured on YBa(2)Cu(3)O(7-x) pellets. The samples have been fabricated by the powder method at sintering temperatures ranging from 900 C to 940 C and have a relative density higher than 92% of the theoretical density, assumed equal to 6.36 g/cm3. The dependence of the critical current upon a weak applied field, up to 3 mTesla, at liquid nitrogen temperature, has been investigated. For a few samples, the temperature dependence of the resistance has been measured in a magnetic field up to 5 Tesla. The results are analysed in terms of the differences in the sintering conditions.
