Abstract

The temperature dependence of the resistance of Bi(2)Sr(2)CaCu(2)O(y) and YBa(2)Cu(3)O(y) single crystals, in the presence of an external magnetic field up to 6 Tesla, has been investigated. The magnetic field was directed along the c axis. The measurements have been performed with a d.c. bias by a four leads configuration. The data are discussed in the framework of the thermally activated flux motion, taking into account the temperature dependence of the activation energy.
