Abstract

The Solar Energy Laboratory of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of Ispra has developed a method for the remote reading of the main heat-energy parameters of THERMIE solar thermal demonstration projects, which is useful in the determination and evaluation of the heat energy balance. The parameters acquired form an integral part of the procedure for the preparation of the final technical reports specified in the THERMIE contract. This report gives an operational description of the procedures necessary for the remote reading of the monitoring system, and an example of the data acquisition and transmission program concerning an installation for monitoring the indices of human thermal comfort, and the graphs of the results obtained.
