The Community Vineyard Register : The methodology by which it was established and the status of the work in 1991Funded under: JRC-REMSENS 4C
The European Community's "Vineyard Register" was established to help monitor and manage the wine and vineyard sector. The Register is an exhaustive, geo-referenced database which contains the principal techno-economic production information for each vine-grower. The database is established and maintained at the national level, and is coordinated at the European level by the Services of the Commission in Brussels. Technical support is provided by the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications of the Joint Research Centre at Ispra. As part of this technical support, the Agriculture Project outlines the methodologies by which the Vineyard Register was established and the status of the work at the end of the first trimester of 1991.
