ES-RBE : Event Sequence Reliability Benchmark ExerciseFunded under: JRC-REACTSAFE 5C
The ES-RBE (Event Sequence Reliability Benchmark Exercise) covered the techniques that are currently used for analysing and quantifying sequences of events, from an initiating event to various plant damage states, including analysis of various system failures and/or successes, human intervention failure and/or success, and dependencies between systems. The reference event sequence was a 14 hour emergency power mode at the Grohnde nuclear power plant. This involved the decay heat removal and emergency power supply functions, the two systems for steam generator feed, the system for the supply of demineralised water, the main steam discharge and the two emergency power systems. The individual final reports of the fourteen participating teams are presented.
