Nuclear Fusion Project : Annual report of the Association KfK/Euratom : October 1990 - September 1991Funded under: FP2-FUSION 10C
The work reported relates to the NET (Next European Torus) design and to power reactor studies. Particular emphasis is devoted to testing of components suitable for NET or ITER (the International Tokamak Experimental Reactor). Test facilities are available or are being commissioned for superconducting magnets, first wall elements, remote maintenance equipment and for tritium processing elements. Two different types of blankets are being developed for reactor relevant requirements. A gyrotron microwave generator is being developed as a power source for plasma heating. The annual progress of the KfK in 1990-91 is described, together with information on contributing staff and references to literature.
