The FPT-0 test precalculations are concerned with severe nuclear reactor accident sequences for which the fission product flow path involves the primary side of the steam generator and the reactor containment building. The objectives of FPT-0 are stated separately for the bundle, the circuit and the containment. All proposed sequences have been calculated by at least two groups and two different computer codes. The first set of calculations was for full-sized reactors and provided target phenomena that should be reproduced in Phebus. The next set of calculations concerned the dimensioning verifications for FPT-0 for the whole sequence from bundle to containment. Various problems were identified and a new set of boundary conditions was proposed.
