Abstract

Data for total and state selective electron capture in collisions of protons on helium have been evaluated critically in the energy range 3 x 1.0E2 - 5 x 1.0E5 eV/amu. From this investigation, data have been collected which are part of the atomic database at JET and which, therefore, are used for modelling He beam stopping and related diagnostics. The cross-sections are assessed and the corresponding uncertainties inferred.
