Guidelines for calibration of an ICP-MS instrumentFunded under: JRC-ENVPROT 5C
The operational guidelines for proper use of an ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry) instrument, are presented briefly. In particular, checks for sensitivity and stability are considered of fundamental importance. The principles for semiquantitative and quantitative analysis, as well as the concentration formula, are also given.
