The 14N(n(th),p)14C reaction cross-section has been measured at the high flux reactor of the I.L.L. (Grenoble) using various 14N samples. A preliminary value of (1.8 +/- 0.1) b was obtained, confirming the generally adopted value. The astrophysical importance of this result is discussed in relation to the production of 14C and 15N.
