This report contains contributions from the Euratom-CEA Association which were presented at a conference held in Innsbruck in June and July 1992. The results of experiments carried out in Tore Supra are discussed, with particular emphasis on the following topics: (i) lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) experiments (resistive flux saving and current profile control); (ii) the ergodic divertor, the control of MHD activity and edge transport and the edge radiating layer; (iii) global energy confinement; (iv) the energy confinement behaviour in ohmic tokamak discharges.
