Remote sensing applied to agriculture : State of the art and new trendsFunded under: JRC-REMSENS 4C
For many years, thematic cartography was the only application of remote sensing techniques. Monitoring of agriculture is now being made feasible using specific methodology developed in pilot projects such as MARS. This paper shows how new satellites or geographic information techniques should allow some of the difficulties to be overcome.
