This report describes an investigation of the creep behaviour of the recently developed ODS alloy MA 760 at 1050 C and 1150 C, with special attention to creep damage. Creep strength is significantly higher for stress parallel to grain elongation (I samples), than for stress perpendicular to grain elongation (It samples). In the It samples, creep damage was characterised by pronounced necking. Failure results from surface cracks and intergranular transverse cracks. The It samples showed extremely low ductility. This can be attributed to pronounced pore formation on the grain boundaries perpendicular to the stress direction, which probably results mainly from high stresses and shear at the grain boundaries, and inhibited relaxation in their vicinity.
