Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

The BRITE-EURAM programme (1989-1992) is a continuation of earlier BRITE and EURAM research programmes. As with the first two programmes, the main objectives of BRITE-EURAM are to increase the technological level of the European manufacturing industry and thus to improve its competitiveness in world markets. The pre-competitive research areas include: - advanced materials technologies; - design methodology and assurance; - application of manufacturing technologies; - technologies for manufacturing processes. This report presents the results of an evaluation study of BRITE and EURAM finished projects. The study was carried out on behalf of two CEC programmes, BRITE-EURAM (DG XII) and VALUE (DG XIII) between October 1990 and February 1992.
