Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

Improvements to the existing telecommunications infrastructure and the evolution towards broadband telecommunications are creating the means to expand exponentially the volume and variety of information which businesses and individuals can exchange. Managing this technological transition for the benefit of the European Community as a whole has been a central element of EC policy for the past six years. One of a series of dossiers published by the RACE Central Office, this publication contains a selection of papers presented at the RACE workshop on business opportunities using advanced communications, held in Brussels in 1990.
