Specific projects are concerned with adaptation and transfer of technologies already applied in the EC to other locations therein. The report identifies 11 projects selected for full implementation and dissemination and 18 project proposals. The former group covers automation of foundry fettling; biotechnology for agriculture; CAD/CAM in packaging engineering; shoreline stabilisation systems design rationalisation using AI; high-speed wool spinning technology; ceramic tile industry computerisation; integrated systems for mobility of the handicapped; flexible automation for small and medium enterprises; sewer rehabilitation hydraulic analysis; application of ceramic filter technology to fish processing; aquaculture technology transfer between Scotland, France and Spain. Common features include the demonstrable transfer of technology, clear user-orientation, a foundation of existing technology, the use of a global approach and the involvement of established independent organisations.
