Abstract

The purpose of this report is to provide a reasoned view as to how the different technologies will have acted on Europe, and the Europeans, by the end of the century. In society the economic strength of the community is the benefit enjoyed by its people, so consideration is not limited to technology, but extended also to the many socioeconomic implications. The report evaluates the current impact of these technologies, and how this might be changed or improved. Sectors considered include education and training, environment, health care, leisure, finance and business, energy, industry, design, communications and distribution of information.
