LISA is a program package which enables both off-line listmode and spectral data analysis as well as on-line monitoring while multiparameter experiments are running. This program has been developed on and for SUN workstations, but can be executed in principle on any computer under a UNIX operating system with an X-WINDOW environment and running PV-WAVE from Precision Visuals Inc. This package is basically written in the language PV-WAVE CL which provides a powerful treatment and a fast visualisation of large multidimensional datasets. Integration of subroutines written in the C-language and execution of UNIX shell commands leads to improved performance. For data acquisition a four parameter acquisition module has been developed, but programming of this module has to be done in FORTH. Communication is performed by an RS232 serial link and the acquired data are sent via SCSI-bus to the SUN host.
