Systems for photovoltaic energy conversion and decentralised mains relief have been integrated into industrially produced residences. The purpose of the project was to demonstrate the structural issues as well as the systems approach to integration of the plant at three different locations and under varying marginal conditions. The system consists of a solar electric power supply which is constantly synchronous with the local public mains and the consumer group (for example a detached house). The energy is not fed into the mains but is only made available to the consumer group when the consumer supply exceeds a predefined supply level, which has been guaranteed to the supply company. In this project the integration of photovoltaic generator systems into industrially manufactured residences was shown for the first time. This combination has been uncommon, but is important for large-scale application.
